Danette established Reid Cares in 2018 upon learning that there was a new face of hunger emerging on colleges and universities around the country. College student hunger has been on the rise for years, yet very little has been done to address the issue. Reid Cares is Danette's response to the growing problem. 

 Her professional career began with State Farm in 1991. Following ten years in operations, Danette was blessed to open her own State Farm Insurance Agency in North Wales, PA where she and her team have served the community since December, 2001. She is also an adjunct professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) and the owner/operator of Jewel Inspired Paper Creations, LLC. 

Danette is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania (BS, Business Management) and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (MS, Organizational Development and Leadership). She and her husband, George, are the proud parents of Danae’, George III, and fur baby, Cody. 

Community Involvement:  Salem Baptist Church of Abington - First Fruits, Scholarship and Local Missions Ministries; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. - Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter; and the West Chester University Black Alumni Chapter.
